Yoko Smith, 86, of Syracuse, passed away at home, peacefully in her sleep. Yoko was born in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to the United States after marrying her former husband, Johnnie Smith, while he was serving in the US Air Force. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Thomas) Sniffen; her son, Quinthin Smith and her grandchildren, Adam and Tyler. She was predeceased by her parents, Chuya and Chie Takimoto and by her sister, Masako Takimoto. There will not be any public services.
