William Bertrand 83, of East Syracuse passed away peacefully on Saturday. He served in the United States Airforce. Bill worked at Deluxe Lines as an operations manager and a driver, and a foreman for the City of Syracuse DPW. He was an avid camper, model train enthusiast and loved spending time with family. Bill was a member of the “Daily Breakfast Club” at the Shop City McDonalds.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Sally Revette Bertrand, his two sons; William Bertrand Jr. and Timothy Bertrand; and a daughter, Michelle Brush. He is survived by his two sons, Michael and Thomas (Melinda); Two daughters, Doreen Bertrand and Candie (Don) Peake; Two daughter in laws, Toni Bertrand and Maxine Bertrand, a son in law; Robert Brush; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be Friday October 28th at 11am in Assumption Cemetery. Bill’s family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Francis House for their compassionate care.
