Warren A. Wells, 74, of Liverpool, NY, beloved Husband, Father and Grandpa (Poppy), went home to Jesus unexpectedly on Thursday from heart failure, at St. Joseph's Hospital, with his family by his side. Born in Potsdam, NY to Wellington A. Wells and Evelyn E. (Mallory) Wells. He was predeceased by both parents and brother, Wayne A. Wells. He is survived by his adoring wife, LaDonna (Schmidtgall); ex-wife Jean Wells (Sevier); three daughters, Angela (Dale), Pamela, and Jeanine; a son, Patrick; nine grandchildren, Justin, Mitchell, Jared, Alexis, Xandar, MaKayla, París, Myhesia, and Pilaurr; his two great grandsons, Liam and Luka.

Warren established and operated his own carpet installation business, “Wells Installations,” for over 10 years. He then worked as the Town of Clay Animal Control Officer from February 93’- June 96’ before joining Durham School Services (formerly A&E Transportation) in April 97’ until his retirement in March 2017. While at Durham, he was involved in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 200 United for 20 years, of which, he was Chairman for 10 years.

Warren was passionate about being a fire fighter in the Elbridge Volunteer Fire Department from January 78’- April 92’, where he held offices of Rescue Lieutenant, Rescue Captain, Level 3 Medic and Assistant Secretary.

Warren’s wishes were for there to be no funeral, calling hours, wake or memorial service. Immediate family will gather for a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elbridge Fire Dept. 275 East Main St. Elbridge, 13060.
