Rose M. Romano,99, passed peacefully on Christmas Day at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and life resident of Syracuse. Rose had worked at Peter’s IGA for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony J. Romano; her son, James Romano; her daughter, Deborah Parsons; her sister, Cosima Sansone; her son- in- law, John Marinelli; her grandsons, David Parsons, Anthony Marinelli; a great grandson, Thomas J. Brantley. Survivors include a daughter, Frances A. Marinelli; a son, Anthony (Sharon) Romano; her grandchildren, Roxann Brantley, Andrew Baron (Nicole Picciano), Carrie (Preston) Bishop, William Baron (Elaine Gardner), Linda Romano, Daniel (Allison) Parsons, Derek Parsons, John (Trisha) Marinelli, Joe (Lillian) Marinelli, Victoria Denny; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; twenty-four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 4p.m. to 7p.m. on Monday at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. Service will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
