November 8, 1930 - February 11, 2021
Rose Mary Connors, 90, passed away on Thursday. Born to Vincent and Helen Kwasigroch, she was a native and life resident of Syracuse’s Northside, and a graduate of St. John the Baptist HS, and of LeMoyne College, in 1952. Rose Mary strived to live a happy and productive life, despite the many challenges she faced living with MS. She retired from St. John the Baptist, where she worked as a teacher for many years. She volunteered at Webster School’s Library, tutored at Maria Regina Weekend College Program, and taught C.C.D. classes. She was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, and volunteer in the food pantry.
Rose Mary was predeceased by her husband, of 54 years, Terry, by her brother, Bill and by her son-in-law, Jack. Survivors include her daughters, Susanne (John) Bowman of Reston, VA and Kristen Brown of Livonia, NY; her granddaughter, Alana Rose; her sister-in-law, Jane Kwasigroch; nieces, Beth (Dave) Grella, Amy Kwasigroch and Trish (Dennis) Beaudette; nephews, Dr. Peter (Sally) Sharkey and John (Barbara) Sharkey III; her cousins, and her devoted friends, including Bonnie and Jerry Bergan, Neil and Candy Walker, Mary Ann Bergamo and Joan Laverne. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 18th, at 11:30 AM at St. John the Baptist/Holy Trinity Church. A recording of the services will be available later in the day on Carter Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Private entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
