Rose Mary Connors
November 8, 1930 - February 11, 2021
Rose Mary Connors, 90, passed away on Thursday. Born to Vincent and Helen Kwasigroch, she was a native and life resident of Syracuse’s Northside, and a graduate of St. John the Baptist HS, and of LeMoyne College, in 1952. Rose Mary strived to live a happy and productive life, despite the many challenges she faced living with MS. She retired from St. John the Baptist, where she worked as a teacher for many years. She volunteered at Webster School’s Library, tutored at Maria Regina Weekend College Program, and taught C.C.D. classes. She was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, and volunteer in the food pantry.
Rose Mary was predeceased by her husband, of 54 years, Terry, by her brother, Bill and by her son-in-law, Jack. Survivors include her daughters, Susanne (John) Bowman of Reston, VA and Kristen Brown of Livonia, NY; her granddaughter, Alana Rose; her sister-in-law, Jane Kwasigroch; nieces, Beth (Dave) Grella, Amy Kwasigroch and Trish (Dennis) Beaudette; nephews, Dr. Peter (Sally) Sharkey and John (Barbara) Sharkey III; her cousins, and her devoted friends, including Bonnie and Jerry Bergan, Neil and Candy Walker, Mary Ann Bergamo and Joan Laverne. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 18th, at 11:30 AM at St. John the Baptist/Holy Trinity Church. A recording of the services will be available later in the day on Carter Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Private entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
Contributions, in Rose Mary’s memory, may be made to All Faith’s Food Pantry, 406 Court St., Syracuse, NY 13208.

Kristen and Sue,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was such a kind and thoughtful person. Whenever I would see her at St. John's when I was home for a visit, we would always have a nice chat and she would ask me specific questions about how each of my children were doing. She was a lovely person. Wishing you both peace and comfort at this difficult time.

Kristen, Susie,
I’m so sorry...I thought I had left a condolence here before. We did get to talk to you (Kristen) for a little while. But anyway you both know how much we loved your mom and dad too. She always looked forward to the “cookie man’s” Christmas delivery. She will be missed and adored by many.
Love you all.
Ceci and Sal

She did love her sweets and Christmas cookies. We know you were great friends to my parents. The funeral mass is on the funeral homes FB page if you want to watch it. Love Kristen

Sue and Kristen, sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. There were many good memories and conversations we had when we were all younger with both of your parents. Regardless whether it was about current events, school, religion, sports, what we wanted to be when we "grew up", etc., there was much wisdom there. My sister Betty reminded me that she had your Mom as a teacher at St. John the Baptist in the 9th grade as well and thoroughly enjoyed her class. Remember, you both loved her as Mom but God loves her like a child who has now undoubtedly welcomed her home.
