Rose (Dattola) Geremia
June 18, 1932 - March 9, 2021
Rose Geremia, 88, of Syracuse went home to Jesus on Tuesday.
Rose was born in Carbondale, PA to the late Giuseppina and Francesco Dattola. Prior to raising her family, Rose was employed with General Electric. She was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Rose’s life was rich with family and beautiful gardens and her great capacity to care for others. Her husband, of over 57 years, Anthony “Tony G.” had predeceased her in 2017. Survivors include her sons, Francis (Patricia) and Thomas (Desirée) Geremia; her daughters, MaryAngela (John) Boyle and Joanne (James) Weimar; her eleven grandchildren, Antonio and Francesca Geremia, Jonah, Rosa and Peter Geremia, JohnThomas, Josephine and Alaina Boyle, Rachel, Amelia and Maria Angela Weimar (fiancé, Russell Schulz); her sisters, Gilda Danielson, Margaret Grimes, Antoinette (Bob) Williams and Marie (Joe) Mingin and many nieces and nephews. Rose was also predeceased by her sisters, Catherine Cresho and Concetta Dattola. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Mar. 16th, from 5 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at St. John the Baptist/Holy Trinity Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
