Ronald R. Gedney
April 18, 1945 - December 22, 2018
Ronald R. Gedney, 73, of Liverpool passed away on Saturday at Iroquois, following a lengthy illness. Ron was a 1962 graduate of St. John the Baptist Academy and graduated from SUNY Morrisville in 1964. He retired after 35 years of service with the Onondaga County Health Department, where he worked as a restaurant inspector, along with assisting with the “family business”, Mulhauser Florist. An avid sports fan, he followed SU Sports and the Yankees and he enjoyed golf for many years. He was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Survivors include his wife, of 51 years, the former Ginger Eagle; children, Kimberly and John; grandchildren, Sean and Sheena; great-grandchildren, Landyn and Tahlia; brothers, Charles (Bonnie) and Russell Gedney and his nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 26th, from 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
