Calling hours for Robert S. LaPlatney, of Syracuse, who passed away on Thursday, January, 12th, will be Monday, January 23rd, from 1 to 3 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Reflections and memories of Bob's Life will be shared at the close of calling hours. He was born in Ogdensburg on January 4, 1949, the son of the late Robert and Laura (Bice) LaPlatney. Bob will be remembered for his “Jack Of All Trades” abilities, especially for his plumbing skills. Bob was predeceased by his son, Robert, by his brother, Ronald LaPlatney and by his sister, Susan Janak. Survivors include his wife, of 39 years, Candice; his children, Laura (Tim), Michelle (Eric), Michael (Jessica) and Crystal LaPlatney, and Arthur (Yvonne) and Colleen Lincoln; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his brother, Kevin LaPlatney. His burial will take place in the Spring, in Morley Cemetery, Canton, NY.
