Richard D. “Dick” Schuelke, 86, of Syracuse, NY passed away on Saturday. He was a native and life resident of Syracuse. Dick proudly served our country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal Spec. He was a former scout master for Troop 181. Dick was an avid sports enthusiast. He was a lifetime member of Pastimes Athletic Club where he enjoyed bowling. Dick retired from the Syracuse Developmental Center where he was employed as an adapted equipment specialist. He was predeceased by his brothers, Walter and Howard, his nephew, Michael. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Dorene; his nephews, Craig (Marianna) Schuelke and Robert (Lucy) Schuelke; a niece and caregiver, Karen McGean many great nieces and great- great- nieces. Calling hours will be Friday June 10th at 5-7 pm. at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc.1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. Services will be Saturday June 11th at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
