Raymond “Biff” J. Kramer

Raymond J. Kramer, 92 of Cicero passed away on Friday. Raymond was a native and life resident of the Syracuse area. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and then became a Syracuse City Police Officer, until he retired in 1979. He outlived his entire childhood family including his parents, brother, and two sisters. He also is predeceased by his former wife and mother of his children, Jean Garrett, and by his former wife, Marian Kramer. His greatest loss was the untimely death of his son and best friend, Stephen J. Kramer in 2020. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Marianne Kramer (Yanal Janakat) of Naples, Florida; by his daughter-in-law, Beth Kramer; by his grandchildren, Raychel J. Kramer (named after her grandfather) and Stephen C. Kramer, and by his step-children, Elaine (Peter) Harper, Marlaine Mangels, and Henry (Mary Gale) Ervay. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
Ray’s Family would like to recognize his loyal care-givers, Beverly Pollack and Ruth Orts for their care and companionship, and also would like to thank Mary King from Sacred Heart Church, who brought him communion every week.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 4th, at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Rd., Cicero, NY and burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
