Paul J. Hamel, 83, of Syracuse passed away on Wednesday. Paul formerly was employed in law enforcement and security for many years and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife, Judith M. and by his son, Brian E. Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Perez, Wendy Moore and Bobette (Tom) Hall; his five grandchildren, Gregory, Lisa “T.C.”, Nicole, Danielle and Tommy and ten his great-grandchildren, Breehana, Brittney, Brenden, Marlisa, Cirria, Kayden, Tommy, Jr., Prestin, David and Isabella. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 19th, 2 to 4 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse and will conclude with Military Honors. Private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
