Patrick J. Scanlon, 94, of North Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday. He was a native of Ireland and later moved to Syracuse in 1955. Patrick was a communicant of The Immaculate Heart of Mary in Liverpool, NY. He was employed by Allied Chemical where he worked as a laborer. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine; his two daughters, Shelia Miller and Kathleen Scanlon; his two brothers, Mick Scanlan and Ned Scanlan; his sister, Nora O'Leary. Patrick is survived by his daughter, Josephine Scanlon, his son- in- law, Steven (Sue) Miller; his brother, Sonny (Helena) Scanlan; his sister-in-law, Maureen Scanlan; 2 grandchildren, Sean (Rebecca) and Scott; 3 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, N.Y. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
