N. Bernice “Totsie” (Wilson) Paventy

N. Bernice “Totsie” Paventy, 88, of Syracuse passed away on Tuesday. She was a resident of Syracuse most of her life. Totsie was a life member of the Mattydale Post 3146 Ladies Auxiliary and a Friend of the Salina Free Library. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Paventy in 1979, and her eleven brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Marilyn Paventy of California, John J. (Jackie) Paventy of Onondaga Hill and Anita (David) Holmes of Constantia; her seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Totsie’s honor to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, 2117 Buffalo Road Suite 299, Rochester, New York 14624 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
