Obituary for Michael E. Nash

Michael E. Nash
October 23, 1952 - February 21, 2021
Michael E. Nash, 68, of Clay, NY, passed away on Sunday. How do you celebrate a man's life in just a few words...? He was loved by everyone who knew him and was known for his warped sense of humor. Mike was a hard worker and a family man, who enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to travel, and some of his favorite trips included Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and Florida. He enjoyed fishing, bowled in several leagues, and always looked forward to going to Red Lobster for a meal. Michael was employed at Crucible Steel, Local 1277, for 32 years, and was the Union Recording Secretary for many years.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife, of 37 years, Donna (Bubis) Nash; his father, that Mike so admired, Robert Nash (Lois) of Albany, NY and Florida; his loving brother, Eric Nash (Nancy) of Columbia, MD; his sister, Wendy of CT; his sister-in-law, Sandy and her husband, Frank Verra of Lake Luzerne, NY; his brothers-in-law, Murray Bubis of Colorado Springs, CO and Dan Bubis (Jax) of Mary Esther, FL, and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Not to be forgotten are his beloved furry companions, who will miss him dearly, his dogs, Lacey and Daisey and his cat, Rocky.
Mike was predeceased by his mother, Joan (Heck) Nash, and by his son, Christopher Nash.
Donna would like to acknowledge all the love and support from their many cousins, friends, extended family, and his devoted caregivers. Calling hours will be Saturday, Feb. 27th, from 1 to 4 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Sharing of memories will be encouraged at the conclusion of hours. Social distancing and face masks will be required.
