Mary “Elaine” Wheeler, 81, of Clay passed away at home on Tuesday, May 19th. Elaine was a lifelong resident of Clay and a graduate of North Syracuse High School. She was employed for many years with Monroe Abstract & Title and later with Penn Can Mall Management as well as Wilorite Management Group. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Elaine was well-loved and a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and friend to many. She was an amazing listener with a compassionate spirit who truly cared about family and friends. Elaine was an avid sports fan, especially of NY Yankees baseball and SU Orange basketball.
Predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary Mederios. Survivors include her loving husband, of 63 years, John Wheeler Sr.; her children, Deb (Tom) Ricciuto, Carol (Rick) DiOrio and John, Jr. (Jackie) Wheeler; her grandchildren, Nate (Alyssa), Ben, Anna and John, III and her brother, John (Joann) Mederios.
Services will be held at a future date at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4947 State Route 31, Clay, NY.
