Mary Ann (Luger) Kuberski
January 5, 2021
Mary Ann Kuberski, 77, of Syracuse, NY passed away on Tuesday from complications due to COVID. Born in Syracuse on February 17, 1943, she grew up in Lyncourt and then raised her family in Liverpool. Mary Ann graduated from Assumption Catholic Academy in 1961. Following school, she worked as a secretary at General Electric. She married Mathew Kuberski and raised three beautiful children that were the most important people in her life. Mary Ann loved her kids and grandchildren more than anything in the world and her dedication to her grandchildren was unmatched. She had a memory like a hawk and never missed a beat. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Anyone who knew or met her, immediately felt her warmth and kindness. She was predeceased by her parents Josephine (Armbruster) and Carl Luger. Mary Ann is survived by her three children, Lori (Lenie) Gass of Liverpool; Robin (Mark Laskowski) Macaluso of Baldwinsville; Stephen (Andrea) Kuberski of Liverpool; her beloved grandchildren who loved their Nana, Jennifer (Matt) Tartaglia, Briana Macaluso, Christopher Gass, Gregory Macaluso, Elizabeth Gass and Gabrielle Kuberski; her brothers Carl (Beverly) Luger, Robert (Carolyn) Luger; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all of the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the 3-4/PCU for their compassion and quality care. Due to COVID-19, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Daniel Church and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt, NY. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in Mary Ann’s honor to St. Daniel Church.

I’m so sorry to hear Mary Ann passed. She was always such a sweetheart. She was always patient and understanding and helpful in even the small ways that really matter. Everything that her children and grandchildren gave her was always appreciated. She was so happy and proud to show off pictures and artwork and had her walls and door covered and enjoyed saying who they were and who had made them. She took such joy with anything you dropped off because she knew that even when you couldn’t be together she knew that you were thinking of her. Her smile will be greatly missed.
