Martin J. Joyce

Martin J. Joyce, 84, of East Syracuse, passed away on Saturday. Martin retired from the City of Syracuse Department of Assessment, and following retirement with Wegmans. His interests included history and archeology and he was a member of area gun clubs. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley A. (Halczyn) Joyce and by Shirley’s son, Edwin Rojek. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Theresa Rojek; granddaughter, Amelia Rojek and many loyal and caring friends, which took special care of him until his passing. A calling hour will be held Thursday, Mar. 28th, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs Rd, Fayetteville, NY, A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 pm and burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland. Contributions in Martin’s honor may be made to Hospice of CNY.
