Ruth Deuel, 92, of Syracuse passed away on Sunday. She retired from Syracuse University after 22 years of service. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during their annual camping trips. She was predeceased by her husband, Alton and by her son, Gerald. Survivors include her children, Alton, Jr., Frederick (Anita), Donna Deuel-Kadrmas, Cynthia (JR) Santmyer, Glenn (Karen), Dale Deuel and Alison Deuel-Sanford; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; her sister, Isabelle Ward and her nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 10th, 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse, followed by a funeral service.
