March 6, 1949 - January 23, 2021
Lynn Henderson, 71, of LaFayette passed away on Saturday, January 23rd, due to complications of Alzheimer's Disease. After graduating from LaFayette High School, in 1966, Lynn went to work at MONY in Syracuse, and she retired from Onondaga Community College, after a long fulfilling career.
She will be remembered for her enthusiasm for sports. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, as well as a devoted spectator of Wimbledon. Lynn was a selfless giver, who always put her family first. She enjoyed spending time on the St. Lawrence River, where she spent wonderful summers with family and friends. She was an active member of the LaFayette Seniors.
Lynn was predeceased by her husband, Ward Henderson, by her parents, Betty and John Engelken and by her dear “Nana”, Lucy.
Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Brefka; grandchildren, Mckayla and Noah; and their father, Dan Brefka; her son, Mark Insel (Angela Powers); grandchildren, Connor and Grady and her siblings, Judy Gibson (Greg Thomas), John Engelken (Donna Coty) and Robert Engelken (Gwyn).
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
