Obituary for Louis Pascarella

Louis D. Pascarella
October 24, 1929 - April 7, 2020
Louis Pascarella, 90, of Eastwood passed away on Tuesday. Louis was a native and life resident of Syracuse and a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, where he played baseball and football and was selected to the all-city and all-state football teams. He was also inducted into the CBA Sports Hall of Fame. Later, he served as an assistant football coach at CBA, and two of his teams were inducted into the Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame.
He formerly was employed as an accountant and was a bingo inspector for the City of Syracuse for the last 22 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. As a life-long sports enthusiast, he enjoyed bowling, was a fan of the NY Yankees, coached Little League Baseball and also refereed high school football. In recent years, he enjoyed frequenting the casino.
Louis was predeceased by his loving wife, of 68 years, Glorya and by his sister, Donna Cimino. Survivors include his daughter, Mary Jo (Paul) Rio of Syracuse; his son, L. Richard (Jane Maio) Pascarella of Syracuse; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Florine Hennessy; sister-in-law, Olga Vinciquerra; brother-in-law, Samuel Spadaro and several nieces and nephews.
Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery and funeral services will be at a later date.
