Lloyd A. Copp
February 27, 2021
Lloyd A. Copp, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday. He was a native and life resident of Syracuse. Lloyd was a 1957 graduate of Eastwood High School. He was employed as an engineer for 33years before retiring in 1995 from the Onondaga County Water Authority. Survivors include his loving wife, the former Karen Cady; his brother, William Copp; several nieces and nephews as well as many special friends. I lost the most valuable person in my life and my one and only love. Lloyd was not only my husband, but he was also my best friend in good times and bad, a kind thoughtful, generous, humorous, hardworking, handsome gentleman. Lloyd and I spent 55 wonderful, exciting years together. My life is left incomplete without him and no one will ever be able to replace him. He will always be remembered and never forgotten. RIP. Services will be at a later date. Contributions may be made in Lloyd’s memory to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, One Conservation Place Syracuse, New York 13204

i first met karen and lloyd in kenya on an african safari. i found out that they were from syracuse and i had graduated from baldwinsville. and we just hit it off. while in kenya, nearly every morning lloyd would bring me baby bananas for breakfast. over the years i have stopped by their home on grant blvd. i also, am a world traveler and was going to be in maine, so they invited me to their beloved summer home. lloyd made me a whole lobster dinner. what a night. over the years, all of the correspondence from karen had giraffe stickers as memento of our trip because i had bought a five foot tall carved wooden giraffe there. lots of fond memories. what a wonderful couple for 55 years. nikki rupert

I’m so very sorry and want you to know I’m thinking of you during this sad and very difficult time. Debbie Sturdevant

Lloyd was a generous and fun loving guy. We’ve had so many fond memories over the years that are cherished. He watched my children grow up and they loved and adored him too. Their best memory of Lloyd, besides his laughter and jokes, was watching Lloyd spend hours in the kitchen to make them Chicken Parmesan! We learned many things from Lloyd, but the most significant was the value of friendship. He was the perfect example of how to be a friend. You will never be forgotten!
