Linda “Gale” Williams 79, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Tuesday, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.
Gale was born on October 29, 1942 to the late Chester and Bessie Williams.

Gale spent many years in the food service industry and loved working with people. A few of her favorites were TJ’s Big Boy, Maine’s, and Auntie Anne’s. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved SU sports. She never missed an opportunity to get out and enjoy live music at local venues. Gale loved traveling with her partner and friends, especially when there was a casino in the area. She touched many lives and treated all those she met like family. With a smile on her face she was always ready to share a meal along with her words of wisdom.

Gale was predeceased by her lifelong partner, Frances Fuzfa. Also by her beloved brother-in-law Frank Scalise. Survivors include her daughter Kim Meola and her children Trevor Scalise and his girlfriend Suada Dervisevic and Jake Meola. Her sister Joan Scalise of Utica, NY. Special nieces and nephews, Carmen Scalise, Frank and Irene Scalise and their children Gloria, Rene, and Frank, Steven and Diane Scalise and their son Mark, Vince Scalise, Carla Scalise and her daughter Breezy, a special great niece.
She also leaves her beloved partners daughters Lorraine Fuzfa, Linda and Steve Epps and their children Steven, John, and Nicole.
Close family friends Joanne Lotito and Louise Cleara along with many beloved nieces and nephews of her lifelong partner.
The family would like to thank the amazing Hospice team with a special thanks to Nurse Amy.


Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse.
