Lauretta E. (McMaster) O’Connor, 101, of Syracuse passed away on Sunday with her loving family by her side. Lauretta retired from Carrier Corp., after several years of service. She was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. For many years she was a “blanketeer”, making blankets with Project Linus. She was predeceased by her husband, Maynard, by her daughter, Patricia Neary and by her brother Robert. Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Neuman and Sharon O’Connor; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday, Nov. 15th, from 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Services will be Saturday at 10 am in St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 873 DeWitt St., Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Lauretta’s family wishes to thank the staff of Elderwood for their wonderful care and compassion. Contributions may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church and / or to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
