Kathy Levos , 81, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on the date of her birth, October 22, 2019, at The Commons on St. Anthony, in Auburn, NY, surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born in Lixouri, Greece. She immigrated to the U.S. with her husband and children in January, 1969; Syracuse resident since the age of 31.
She was predeceased by her husband Theodore in 2008. She is survived by her three daughters: Evie Shaffer, Angela (Richard) Ledbury, and Christine (Thomas) Jones; four grandchildren, Leslie (Mohammed) Hereba, Meghan (Darren) Finebloom, and Madeline and Charles Ledbury; two great grandsons, Elias & Gus Hereba, and two great granddaughters, Mariah & Mila Finebloom, and three grand dogs; Zeus Shaffer, Rusty Jones, and Mitchell Ledbury.
Kathy’s love for cooking and feeding her family was bar none! If you could describe love as having a taste, it would be Kathy’s food. We grieve, yet cherish her memory. Her love lives within us!
A private service was held at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox church; burial was at Oakwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association:
