Kathleen A. Rey, 55, of Baldwinsville passed away on Wednesday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a graduate of Nottingham High School. Kathleen was a hair stylist at Nexus of Shop City. She was predeceased by her dad, Lawrence Sullivan in 2012. Kathleen is survived by her husband of 11 years, John Rey; her sons, Pasquale Madonna of Ogdensburg, Salvatore (Amanda) Madonna Jr. Syracuse, Michael Madonna of Baldwinsville, Michael Rey (Kathleen Denny) of New York City, Thomas Rey of Albany; daughters, Angela Madonna (Scott Walsh) of Liverpool, Jessica Rey (JD Howington) of Syracuse, her father, Frederick (Kristine) Williams of Pahrump, Nevada, her mother, Beverly Jewell Sullivan of Morrisville; her paternal grandparents, Bernard and Dorothy Prunner of Tampa, Fl.; her brothers, Kenneth Williams of Houston TX, Keith (Cathy) Williams of Liverpool, Kevin Williams of Liverpool, Frederick (Rachael) Williams of Tooele, Utah, Dennis (Rosemarie) Sullivan of Morrisville; her grandchildren, Pasquale, Zachary, Elijah, Connor, Jada, Jessah, Jaida, Tiffany, Dakota, and Kayla; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Gynecological Oncology-CNY. Calling hours will be Saturday March 1, 2014 11a.m. to 1p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse with a service to follow. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it was Kathy’s wishes to have contributions made to the Hopeforheather.org (ovarian cancer research).
