John M. Welch “Big Mike”, 64, of East Syracuse passed away on Tuesday. For many years Mike was employed at Fayetteville Dodge, at their auto body department. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Janice, and by his father, Malcolm Welch and by his brother, David Welch. Survivors include his mother, Joan; his step-daughter, Tracey Muhl Shaw; his sisters, Joanne Meyer, Therese Robinson and Marianne Hayes and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Apr. 5th, from 12:30 pm to 1 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm.
