Obituary for John H. "Jack" Koslowski

John “Jack” Koslowski

John “Jack” H. Koslowski, 73, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday. Jack was born in Syracuse, and grew up in Lakeland, NY. He was a Navy Veteran, serving on board The USS Josephus Daniels. He retired from Crucible Steel, after 37 years of service. Jack was a member of the Mattydale American Legion Post 1832. He was an avid Nascar fan, who also enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and SU Basketball, with his wife, Ruby, and frequenting the casino. He spent many hours doing genealogy searches and enjoyed photography and photo restoration. Jack was always willing to lend a hand to anyone and had a heart of gold. He will be missed by all. Jack was predeceased by his parents, John “Jack” and Alice (Swank) Koslowski, by his brother-in-law, Don Gardner, and by his cousin, Wayne Swank. Survivors include his wife, Ruby (Aloi) Koslowski; his step-daughters, Debbie (Darryl) Adsit and Patty (Randy) Filippi; his daughter, Valerie Koslowski; three grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Mariah Cleveland, and Justin Koslowski; his sister, Kathy Gardner; his special niece, Marsha Dillion and several nieces and nephews. In honor of Jack’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services, entombment Woodlawn Cemetery.
