Joan L. Wilson, 87, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday. Joan was a native and life resident of Syracuse, in her 20’s, she was employed at the former Resnick's Pocketbook Factory. From 1988 to 2000, she was a familiar and welcoming presence at her son’s coffee shop, Steve’s Debbrenal’s Luncheonette. She was predeceased by her husband, of 43 years, Floyd “Sonny” in 2003, and by her sister, Lorraine “Lee Lee” Gorman. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Heather Wilson, of Clay; her sister, Connie Crump, and her nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, Nov. 5th, from 5 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Services will be Friday, at 1 pm at the funeral home, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
