Joan P. Mone, 87, of Syracuse passed away after a short illness. She was a native of Auburn. Joan graduated as a Valedictorian from West High in Auburn and attended Syracuse University. She retired in 1996 from Scotsman Press where she was employed as a graphic artist for more than 27 years. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Carmen J. Mone; her brothers, Jim and Tom Mix; her sisters, Kathy and Jeri. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen (John) Minter, of Rochester, Carol (Roger) Mone- Choplin of California; her son, James (Linda) Mone of Syracuse; her sister, Buffy of Florida; her five grandchildren, Tim , Beth, Stephen, Matthew and Jacob; three great -grandchildren, Gracie, Katie, and Camryn. Calling hours will be held on Saturday July 27th at 12pm. to 2:30 pm. at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 1604 Grant Blvd. with services to follow.
