Joan M. Carciofolo, 84, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday, February 4th. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be missed daily by all who knew her. Joan was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth Unz. She was a graduate of Eastwood High School, and had worked at General Electric, where she was the director of the secretarial pool. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter F. Carciofolo. Survivors include her sons, Brian P. and Eric C. Carciofolo; her grandchildren, Erica Wentworth, Samantha Carciofolo, Vincenzo Carciofolo and Angelina Carciofolo and her four great-grandchildren. There will not be any services at this time.
