Isabelo Sustache Melendez, 86, of Syracuse passed away on Monday. He last worked with Nojaims Market. Sal was predeceased by his wife, Elva in 2009 . Survivors include his daughter, Lisa A. Melendez of Cicero; his sons, Douglas A. (Joy) Bennett of East Syracuse and Richard T. (Katherine) Bennett of Holden, MA., Luis (Marisel) Sustache of Fl., and Edwin (Wanda) Sustache Puerto Rico; his brothers and sisters, Marcelo Sustache, Antero Sustache, Benito Sustache Jr., Maritita Colon and Margarita Sustache; seven grandchildren, Douglas, Robert, Rachel, Kassandra, Jonathon, Angel and Gloria; nine great-grandchildren, Logan, Blake, Oliver, Gianna, Camden, Caterina, Bennett, Noah and Colden and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am Friday in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church 229 W. Yates St. East Syracuse.
