I am so sorry to hear of Irene's death. I had worked with her for a few years until her retirement at McCarthy Manor. Then I became her social worker at PACE for a few years until I left the company. She lived a long life. My sympathies to all of her family.

In tribute to my grandmother Irene - a very proud woman who took on all that the world handed her with confidence. You always told me that you would live to see 100. You did it and then some! Sincere thanks to her nieces and nephews who stood up and looked out for her when others would not. Thank you for being there. Grandma - you are with your sisters and brothers now and you can finally be at peace. Remembering you today with love from Albany, NY.

I worked with Irene at McCarthy Manor in the 1990's. She was such a joy to work with. I found out how to bet the horses, how to make the best carrot cake I ever ate in my life (and I still cannot make as good as she did). She was the fastest typists I have ever seen. I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a kind and beautiful women.
