HOPE V. HATCH
September 20, 1926 - June 18, 2020
Hope V. Hatch, 93, of Syracuse, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 18th. She was born on September 20, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from Central High School and attended Houghton College.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clyde F. Hatch, her brother, Rev. Norman D. Lake, and her sister, Dawn I. Lake. She is survived by her son, Laurence C. Hatch, her sister, Iris F. Emore, and her nephews, Rev. Marc T. Haynes, Brian K. Haynes, and Dale N. Lake.
Hope was the librarian at Faith Heritage School for many years. In the year of her retirement, the School’s yearbook was dedicated to her. She was a former member of North Syracuse Baptist Church and First Wesleyan Methodist Church and was a self-taught scholar of the Scriptures. She was a giving and kind person, having a positive impact on many.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Tuesday, June, 23rd from 11 to 11:30 am at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Burial and committal prayers will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt. Occupancy restrictions will be in place in accordance with NYS guidelines on social distancing.
