Gerald R. Hinman, Sr.
February 22, 1934 - October 6, 2018
Gerald R. Hinman, Sr., 84, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday at home. Jerry was employed with Syracuse University for many years and retired as maintenance supervisor of the physical plant. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. From drawing and music to welding, Jerry was known for artistic abilities. Survivors include his wife, of 62 years, Rosemary; his children, Joe (Kathy), Jerry, Jr. (Patty), Val (Bob) Dolengo, Danny, Patricia (Frank), John and Rose (Rob) Galvagno; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and brother, Richard (Jackie) Hinman.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 10th, at North Central Church, 7463 Buckley Road, North Syracuse from 10:30 am to noon. Services will follow at noon and burial with military honors will follow in Onondaga Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
