Evangelia P. Zongos, 80, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday. She was born in Athani, Lefkada, Greece, and immigrated to Syracuse in 1977, with her family. Survivors include, her children, George (Shari) Zongos, Yanni Zongos, and Ourania (Brenden) Lawrence; and their father, Peter Zongos; grandchildren, Alethea, Dionissis, Katalina; great-grandchildren, Zinovia and Zaylee; her brother and sister and extended family in Greece. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Mar. 24th, from 1:30 pm to 2 pm at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Rd. Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm, and burial will be private.
