Eldora E. Miller, 86, of West Monroe passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Merritt Island, Florida and moved to Mattydale, New York with her parents, George and Florence Eifler. Eldora is survived by her cherished husband of 60 years, Claude C. Miller. Together, they built their dream home, filling it with family and friends. They have four daughters, Teresa (Gary) Ross, Nancy (Jeff) Wolk, Linda (David) Wolf and Marie (Rick) VanKuren. In addition, Eldora and Claude lovingly welcomed thirteen grandchildren into their family, Lindsey (Eddie) Marchand, Tyler Ross, Aaron Wolk, Morgan Ross, Connor Wolk, Leah Wolf, Kevin Ross, Noah VanKuren, Eric Wolf, Matthew VanKuren, Jillian VanKuren, Megan Wolf and Sarah Wolf. Eldora’s family meant the world to her. She was predeceased by her two siblings, a sister, Wilma (Ralph) Lloreda and a brother, Walter (Carol) Eifler. Eldora is survived by her brother, George (Cheh) Eifler and her sister, Florence (Donald) Obrist along with many nieces and nephews. She was a vital member of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in Constantia. She graciously received the Immaculata Award for extraordinary service to the parish community. Eldora’s faith played a significant role in her life as was evident to the many lives she touched inspiring them with her kindness and compassion. She played an integral part, in her husband’s business, Claude C. Miller, Inc. For 29 years, she balanced the role of vice president, secretary and proud mom of four loving daughters. Before retiring, she worked 10 years at OCWA in Syracuse. Eldora lived her life with incredible conviction, strength, and grace. She will be greatly missed. Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m at St. Bernadette Church 1667 NY 49, Constantia, NY 13044.
