Elaine Kwietniak, 84, passed away Thursday, June 24th. Elaine was born in Liverpool, NY on January 28, 1937, and had resided in the Syracuse area for most of her life. She was a nurse, for more than 50 years, and devoted herself to the care of others. She leaves behind many friends and her family, who remember her love of life, photography, family gatherings and nature.
She had spent the last 7 years residing with her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lisa Conroy in Oklahoma, where she passed quietly in her sleep.
A funeral service was held in Oklahoma, and then Elaine returned to Syracuse, where she was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, next to her husbands, Malcolm Peyman and Frank Kwietniak.
