Edward Walter Sojda,61, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday. He had worked at Specialty Welding and Fabricating of N.Y, Inc. He is survived by his wife, the former Betsy Kattell; his sons, Vincent E. Sojda and Matthew W. Sojda; his sister, Kathryn (Leslie) McCormick. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Condolences to Ed's family and sister Kathy. I was 6 years older then Ed and was his neighbor. I remember Ed would come over to play basketball every time I was out in the driveway and he would play along with a few others. I remember when his father installed a hoop in his backyard Ed would play for hours. Also remember as Ed got older and bigger he would get the best of us when we played one on one. Ed loved playing BB. Again my condolences. Paul Samora
