Douglas P. Burton, Jr, 75, of Syracuse passed away on Christmas Day. Doug had a lifelong career at Bristol Myers and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Doug was a loving father and friend who enjoyed spending time with those he loved. He was an avid golfer who was loved greatly by his golf club, a chess master, a member of the Militia of the Immaculata, helpful in the church community, and was a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Survivors include his lifelong partner, Marjorie Mevec; Wanda, his furry best friend; his three children, Peggy (Bob) Kunzmann, Amy (Ed) Burton and Joe (Paige) Burton; his step-son, Garth Bishop; his seven grandchildren, Aleasia Burton, RJ Kunzmann, Joseph Burton, Nicole Kunzmann, Eden Bishop, Kaily Wass and Isaac Burton; his two sisters, Jeanine Culpepper and Lynette Stewart; his brother, Alan Coggeshall; his two nephews, Glen and Jim Lansing, and his niece, Sharon Lansing Wright. Services will be private for his family.
