Doris Mae Peluso
July 9, 1923 - December 24, 2018
Doris Mae Peluso, 95, of Syracuse, passed away at Auburn Rehab. & Nursing Center where she was a resident since 2014. She had a great love of the Arts. A vibrant cultured woman. A true Yankee fan who created amazing scrapbooks that were a window into her heart and soul. She grew and cultivated prize-winning roses and irises and was a published poetess. Predeceased by husband, Michael Peluso, two stepsons, Louis, and Joseph aka Butch, stepdaughter, Darlene; six brothers, Howard, Richard, Edward, James, and Robert Kenyon. Survived by 5 children, Maxine (Robert Kowalski), Michele, Michael, Patricia (Richard Couse) and John; sixty-three grand and great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She would want our family to acknowledge Barbara Shardt, whom we deem a member of our family and who bestowed, love, kindness, and generosity upon our mother. Services will be private at the convenience of the family at Carter Funeral Home, Syracuse. Entombment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
