Donna A. Brennan Corell, 66, of Camillus, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
Donna was born in Albany, NY on October 31, 1954, daughter of Jane Keith Brennan and the late Thomas E. Brennan. She was a graduate of Marylrose Academy and State University of New York at Cobleskill. While at Cobleskill, Donna met her future husband, Gary Corell. They were married soon after, and made career moves to Fulton, NY, Green Bay, WI and Phoenix, Arizona over the years. Donna has lived most recently in Syracuse, NY and was able to enjoy spending time with her three beloved grandsons.
Two of Donna’s greatest joys in life were her sons, Eric, and Brian. She volunteered for their schools and made many wonderful friends in every city they lived in.
Donna has been a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and leaves behind many close friends in her church. She volunteered tirelessly for many years at schools connected to church, helping wherever needed. It brought her great joy, and she was well-loved by staff and students wherever she worked.
Donna was lovingly cared for in her final days by Hospice and the staff at Francis House in Syracuse. The family will be forever grateful to those who touched Donna’s heart in many ways.
Donna is survived by her mother, Jane Brennan of Voorheesville, Gary Corell of Arizona, her son, Eric Corell of Arizona, her son, Brian (Jenn) Corell and three loving grandsons, Halden, Merritt and Terran Corell of Syracuse. She is survived by her grieving sisters, Shannon Cummings, Debbie (John) Mahan, Monica (David) Rivenburg, and Noreen (Peter) Shunney. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her father, Thomas E. Brennan, her brother, Mark Brennan and brother-in-law, Charles Cummings.
A service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held at Westvale Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2511 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 3 pm. Prior to the service, family and friends may visit at 2 pm. Masks and social distancing are required, and visitors are limited to 50 people at one time. The service will be available for viewing on “Westvale SDA Church” on the You Tube Channel.
Donna will be buried with family in Oakwood Cemetery in Troy, NY on April 24, 2021.
