Daniel Galuppo, 100, of DeWitt passed away on Wednesday at the VA Medical Center. Dan was a native and life resident of Syracuse, who was a proud World War II Army Veteran. He served during the Battle of the Bulge, and was a recipient of two Bronze Stars and three Purple Hearts. Dan retired from Carrier Corp. in 1972. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; his son, Daniel, Jr. (Noreen) Galuppo; stepchildren, Christine (Paul) Zacher, Mary (Jim) Schwartz, Charles (Sharon) Manuel and Jill (Katherine Delapena) Manuel; his grandchildren, Daniel III (Francine) Galuppo and Alesia (Mike Griffith) Galuppo; great-granddaughters, Brittney and Maria; step-grandchildren, Kelly (Phil), Jennifer, Amory, Karl, Tristan, Isabel and Catalina; daughter-in-law, Silvana Amaducci and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marian and by his son, John. Burial, with Military Honors, will be private in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery.
