Obituary for Cindy Lee Freeman

Cindy Freeman, 55, of Syracuse passed away on Sunday October 20th, 2019. Her death was unexpected.

Cindy was a spunky little spitfire with a hilarious sense of humor. She loved to make people laugh. She had a big heart and would help anyone if she could.

Cindy loved to clean and was quite good at it. She loved to help others clean their homes. Cindy had a healthy appetite and loved to eat. She especially loved her daughter’s cooking and her Aunt Anne’s cooking. She loved to listen to country music, especially Elvis Presley. She loved Elvis so much she once drove all the way to Tennessee from Syracuse to visit Graceland by herself, before cell phones and GPS.

Cindy was predeceased by her Mother Arlene (Freeman) Olmsted in 2013, her father Jerry Lockwood in 2016, and her beloved canine companion Bella.

Cindy is survived by her only daughter Jami Freeman; her grandsons Jakev Jackson, Dom Donnay, Eddie Monsanto; her granddaughter Jacinda Jackson; her great granddaughter Janae Robinson.

Cindy is also survived by her brothers Carlton Mathews, Robert (Bobby) Mathews Jr, Ralph Lobdell, and David Lobdell; her sisters Tammi Kelly, Lynn Marshfield, Wendy Dyer, Terry Kirsch and Cindy Lobdell.

Cindy is also survived by her Aunts Anne Haley, Lucille Kazmirski, and Tina Kushin, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cindy’s Home-Going Service will be held at Carter’s Funeral Home at 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse on Thursday October 24th from 6-8pm. Prayer Services will be at 8 pm at the funeral home, following the calling hours.
