March 30, 1951- February 11, 2020
Chris Cameron, 68, of Syracuse passed away at home on Tuesday, surrounded by her loving family, following her brave battle with cancer. Chris was an amazing mother and grandmother, who showed those who knew her, the true meaning of strength and perseverance. She cherished time with her family and friends, especially with her beloved grandchildren. Chris was a Registered Nurse, for over 40 years, retiring from Crouse Hospital in 2018. She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, David; by her parents, Lois and Frederick and by grandson, Braden Sebold. Survivors include her daughters, Nicole (Sean) Sebold, Danielle (Myron) Tongue, Lindsey Cameron and Amanda (James) Froio; her grandchildren, Brock, Cameron, Brooklyn, Christina, Evalena, Braelyn, and Daniella; her brothers, Michael and David (Maureen) Scharoun and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Calling hours will be Friday, Feb. 14th, from 4 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
