My niece Christine and I spent a large chunk of time enjoying our Sylvia Lake experience many summers in our youth. We teamed up to get her an introduction to a Jr High School acquaintance of mine, with her future husband Dave. They did not require any further assistance in this. I've felt a deep love and connection to Chris through the years and have always been welcomed with open arms into her home. We did not stay in close touch through the years but we were never out of touch either. Raising her beautiful daughters with her husband and her career in nursing, not to mention grabbing the proverbial bull by the horns if she felt a loved one was being wronged filled her days and nights, but she always made time if she felt she could help! Not that long ago she traveled two hours to help me organize a yard sail of a collection gathered over thirty years when I sold my Gouverneur home. When suffering from this Cancer that took her she called me to see how my wife was doing with her Stage 1b Cancer diagnosis. It was clear to me she wanted as a nurse and a person of great character and Love to comfort and help in whatever way she could! I told her Marge (my wife's) cancer was removed and looked like she was at least for now cancer free. Thank God she said! She asked again about Marge Just a little over a week ago from her Hospital bed. It was not easy for her to speak. Now I thank God for many things in my life but uppermost in my mind right now is that I had the chance to love and be loved by Chris! How blessed am I, Thank God for that! I wasn't on her s--t list. Thank God for that as well. Uncle George

Our Norman family lived on Feigel Ave across the street from Christine's family as I was growing up. Christine and I were the same age. I will always remember Christine as vivacious, beautiful, fun and caring. Last September, my family held a memorial service for my father in Syracuse. Even though it had been some 30 years since my parents lived in Syracuse, Christine and her brother David attended the service and pay respects to my father. It is a testament to Christine's character and loving nature that she made this effort, and my family will forever be grateful. Our condolences to her wonderful family. The Normans are making a contribution to the American Cancer Society in Christine's name.
