Carol M. Zinter-Alello, 83, formerly of Kirkville, NY, passed away at her
home, in Austin, TX, on Thursday. Carol was a graduate of North High and
Columbia College. She was previously employed with Carrier and National
Grid, where she worked as a paralegal. In her retirement, she started Up-Z-
Day-Z, a licensed daycare. With love and devotion, she was instrumental in
the development of countless young lives. An active member of St. Mary’s
Church in Minoa, she taught religious education. She will be remembered for
her quick wit, sense of humor, her sweet tooth, and as a devoted and loving
grandma.
She was predeceased by her husband, of 43 years, Richard F. and by her
brother, Charles Geaslen.
Survivors include her husband, of 13 years, Ray Alello, and his son, Mark and
his grandson, Mark; her children, Rick (Edye) Zinter, Jr.; Lorraine (Jim)
Luton and Heidi (Andy) Morton; her grandchildren, Raychel Carr (Mike),
Samantha (Dave) Serbun, Taylor Zinter, Camber Luton (Parker) and Emme
Morton; her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Teagan, Scarlett, Dash, Everleigh and
Anakin; her brother, Francis (Judy) Geaslen; her sister, Diane Hornyak and
Idalia of Texas, who found a special place in Carol’s heart.
Calling hours will be Friday, Sept. 9 th , from 5 to 7 pm at Carter Funeral Home,
1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated Saturday at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Minoa, NY. Burial will
follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa, NY.
