Carol A. Tack, 56, of Syracuse, left this earth peacefully at home on Thursday. She is predeceased by her mother, Carol Ann Johnson; father, Alexander Lozier. Carol is survived by her devoted and only child, Clinton L. Jackson, granddaughters Kyra “Naynors” Jackson, Aaliyah Nunez with Julissa Mago who was what she referred to as the “daughter she never had”. Life partner, Jorge “Gallo” Gonzalez; brother, Michael Tack a second mother, Flora Bell Smith; sister, Lisa Smith; several nieces and nephews. Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend with a heart of gold, with an indisputable dedication to both her family and lifelong career with the Syracuse City School District. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her “Naynors”, cooking for her family, listening to music and her many shopping trips with her Naynors. Carol was a strong, kind and caring women who was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Calling hours will be Thursday 4-7 pm at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 1604 Grant Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am at Most Holy Rosary Church 111 Roberts Avenue, Syracuse. Burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
