Barbara M. Sassano, 86, of Syracuse passed away Tuesday at The Bishop
Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Syracuse. Barb was a native and life resident of Syracuse. Despite her struggles with Parkinson’s Disease, she lived her life to the fullest, with bravery and zest. Barb was an avid gardener, who enjoyed her day trips, arts and crafts, visits to the Fair, and spending time with her cherished family. Her husband Arthur “Artie”, of 55 years, had predeceased her in 2010. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Sassano; her sister, Carol Servello and her many nieces and nephews. Cheryl wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of The Bishop, especially those on C South, for their dedicated and loving care of Barb. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery. “Love you all my heart”.
