Angelo R. Squadrito, 90, passed away peacefully due to complications of Covid on Friday with his daughter by his side. He was a native and lifelong resident of Syracuse. Angelo had proudly served as a Sergeant in the Army where he received a Purple Heart and a Silver Star. He retired from Pepsi as a truck driver and warehouse manager. Angelo was predeceased by his wife, Katherine A. in 2007. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Mahady; his two grandchildren, Sean Patrick (Sarah) Mahady and Katherine Marie Mahady; a great granddaughter, Autumn Lyric; his sisters, Gloria Orlando and Rose DiMinno; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday 11 am to 1 pm at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 1604 Grant Blvd. Syracuse with a service to follow. Burial immediately following with military honors in Assumption Cemetery. Contribution may be made in Angelo’s honor to the animal shelter of your choice.
